LOOP / RUN AND META PROGRESSION

Warhammer Survivors progression

Progression in Warhammer Survivors has two scales: decisions that shape one run and discoveries or rewards that matter beyond it. Experience, Weapons, Power-ups, Secrets, Gold, and Paint Pots cover both layers. Exact costs, thresholds, and the complete progression economy are not available before the full launch.

LOOP / RUN AND META PROGRESSION

Inside a run

Experience is a run reward that opens the next layer of choice. Weapons shape attacks and upgrades, while Power-ups strengthen the current run. That distinction tells you which decisions affect the field now without assuming a fixed level curve, choice count, or upgrade screen. The named path is Experience → Weapons → Power-ups, with Secrets branching from the power-up side toward discovery.

Movement remains the active field decision while attacks auto-aim, so attention moves between avoiding pressure and selecting the next build direction. A status effect such as Poisoned or Burning describes what happens when that direction meets a target.

Secrets belong to discovery and unlocks rather than ordinary experience. Keep them separate from run rewards when deciding whether a result changes the current attempt or points toward later content. Experience feeds a choice, while Secrets point toward something to uncover.

LOOP / RUN AND META PROGRESSION

Beyond one run

Gold and Paint Pots are meta rewards that support persistent progression. Their exact prices, unlock trees, and reset rules are not established yet, but their role is separate from the moment-to-moment run loop. Gold leads to Paint Pots in the named reward chain, and Paint Pots point back toward the wider progression path.

Follow the named progression links: Experience leads to Weapons, Weapons and Power-ups strengthen a run, Secrets connect discovery to later content, and Gold plus Paint Pots sit on the persistent side. Use those links to understand what a reward leads to, not to assume an optimal order. The chain answers whether you are choosing an attack, strengthening the current attempt, uncovering content, or carrying a reward beyond the run.

The full launch is planned for 10 November 2026. Until then, learn the relationship between movement, auto-aim, weapons, effects, and rewards; precise economy advice should wait for a build that establishes it.

LOOP / RUN AND META PROGRESSION

A practical progression reading order

Begin with the run reward, because it explains when a decision arrives. Experience leads to Weapons and Power-ups, while Secrets describe discovery rather than ordinary experience. One reward changes the current field; another points beyond it.

Then distinguish build choice from persistence. Weapons and Power-ups belong to the run-facing choice layer; Gold and Paint Pots belong to the meta-facing reward layer. That distinction is more dependable than an imagined price or unlock tree and remains useful across a demo update.

Movement is the active decision, attacks auto-aim, and build choices determine which pressure you can answer. A status effect can change how a target moves, a weapon can change how an area is covered, and a Secret can change what the next attempt is trying to uncover. Burning can speed enemies, Poisoned can slow them, and Oiled can increase fire damage, so a progression choice is also a field-position choice.

The full launch can add precise costs, thresholds, and unlock rules later. Until then, ask three questions: what happens now, what survives the run, and which named record should be opened next?

Practice the loop with three checks: identify the current run reward, name the choice it unlocks, and mark whether the result disappears at the end of the attempt. Repeat the check for Secrets, Gold, and Paint Pots to see which terms point toward discovery or persistence.

When costs and thresholds arrive, they can attach to the existing run-versus-meta map. For now, the map already shows which records belong together and which question to ask next. Identify the reward, follow its relation, and decide whether the result changes the present run, the next attempt, or a hidden discovery. The same method works for Experience and Weapons as it does for Gold and Paint Pots: name the reward first, then decide where its effect belongs.
