ARSENAL / NAMED WEAPONS

Warhammer Survivors weapons

The named arsenal spans ranged and melee weapons, area attacks, weapon-adjacent effects, legendary evolution, and a hobby prop. Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, Whirlwind Axes, Nuln Oil, Fyrestorm Greataxe, Zangrom-Thaz, Frenzon, and D6 Dice each answer a different question about a run. Damage, rarity, and upgrade values are not available for a complete comparison yet.

ARSENAL / NAMED WEAPONS

An arsenal with different kinds of records

Boltgun and Astartes Chainsword make the ranged-versus-melee contrast easy to read. Whirlwind Axes is an area weapon, while Fyrestorm Greataxe and Zangrom-Thaz carry the axe thread from a weapon into a legendary evolution. Their identities are clear even though damage, rarity, and upgrade numbers are not. Boltgun and Astartes Chainsword carry the Warhammer 40,000 side, while Whirlwind Axes, Fyrestorm Greataxe, and Zangrom-Thaz carry the Age of Sigmar side.

Nuln Oil is a fire interaction rather than a standard weapon. Oiled increases fire damage and pairs with Burning, while Frenzon links to Berserk, the attack-frequency modifier. These relationships explain how an item can shape a build without a fixed percentage being available.

D6 Dice is a cross-universe Hobby Table prop, not a combat choice. Its role helps separate hobby context from the weapons that answer enemy pressure. The same distinction keeps Nuln Oil and Frenzon readable as named items with combat relationships rather than as a single damage category.

Read weapon links before chasing a tier list

A Build Link answers a practical question: what does this name clarify? Experience leads into weapons and power-ups; Nuln Oil leads into Burning and fire damage; Frenzon leads into Berserk and attack frequency; Zangrom-Thaz leads back to the axe family. These are paths through the system, not rankings from a finished balance patch.

Before full launch, a weapon's role can be more durable than its numbers. A ranged weapon changes how you read distance, an area weapon changes how a crowd can be approached, and an effect changes what a target state means. Use those distinctions without assuming an unreleased upgrade tree. Whirlwind Axes answers a space-control question, Boltgun answers a ranged-pressure question, and Astartes Chainsword answers a close-range identity question.

Search the exact name, then follow its relationship strip. A name can connect a weapon to an effect, a progression reward, a battlefield, or a hobby context, giving you a next question for the run.

A practical arsenal reading order

Begin with the record type, because a prop, a status interaction, and a weapon answer different player questions. Boltgun and Astartes Chainsword are combat entries; Nuln Oil and Frenzon explain effect relationships; D6 Dice belongs to the Hobby Table rather than an attack choice.

Then compare the universe tags. The arsenal crosses universes, so an Age of Sigmar area weapon and a Warhammer 40,000 ranged weapon should not be treated as if they came from one faction or one stage. The tag helps you move between the weapon, battlefield, and foe connections.

After that, follow the named connection. Oiled and Burning describe a fire path, Frenzon and Berserk describe attack frequency, and Zangrom-Thaz preserves an axe evolution thread. A connection is useful even when the final percentage, duration, or upgrade cost remains unpublished. Use Nuln Oil to enter the fire relationship, Frenzon to enter the attack-frequency relationship, and Zangrom-Thaz to follow the axe evolution.

A balance patch can change a number without changing the identity of a Boltgun, the fact that Whirlwind Axes is an area weapon, or the role of a cross-universe hobby prop. Record identity is the stable layer; final tuning belongs to the release boundary. The named arsenal therefore separates combat range, area control, fire interaction, attack frequency, axe evolution, and Hobby Table context. That separation lets you compare Boltgun with Astartes Chainsword, or Nuln Oil with Frenzon, without pretending that every name is the same kind of attack.
